Survey Periods

The SOEP-IS survey period has changed repeatedly over the years. This can have various reasons, such as planned changes as part of the general survey design, 
necessary delays to be able to complete preparations for the survey, or additional survey time to improve the response rate. Below is a table with an overview of the 
different survey periods over the years. The planned survey periods for the coming years are included as well. These may of course still change and only represent the approximate plans. 

The table only refers to the time in which interviews were planned or took place and not to times that were used for sampling or suchlike without (planned) interviews.
In some years different subsamples had different survey periods. In these cases only the earliest and latest period for the total sample is listed. As a result, some periods appear very long. 
The exact periods of the respective samples can be found in the wave reports.

*This table includes waves from the years before 2011, as the first SOEP-IS samples were originally drawn as part of SOEP-Core.*
